Four years ago, Premier Power Washing Services started out with a simple aim: to give people in Ennis and across County Clare an exterior cleaning service they could actually rely on. This month, we were delighted to see that work recognised in our local paper, with a feature in The Clare Echo marking our fourth year in business.
It’s a proud moment, and one that belongs just as much to the customers who have supported us along the way.
Four years built on repeat customers and word of mouth
Since the business was established in 2022, Premier Power Washing Services has grown almost entirely through repeat custom, personal recommendations and word of mouth. There’s no shortcut to that. You earn it one driveway, one roof and one gutter clean at a time.
Today we provide exterior cleaning services to both residential and commercial customers throughout Ennis, County Clare and the surrounding areas.
Experience before self-employment
Owner Brian McDonagh spent years working in the exterior cleaning industry before taking the step into self-employment. That time on the tools mattered. It meant a solid understanding of the work itself, the equipment involved and, crucially, what customers actually expect from a professional service.
The decision to go out on his own came down to wanting to build something to a particular standard, and being able to stand over every job carried out under the Premier Power Washing name.
Being proudly local and Ennis-based is a big part of that. This is the community the business serves, and the reputation here is the one that counts.
The owner on every job
One of the things that sets Premier Power Washing Services apart is straightforward: the owner is the person doing the work and dealing with customers, from first enquiry to final walkaround.

That means no call centres, no subcontractors turning up in an unmarked van, and no wondering who is going to arrive at your property. You speak to the person who will be cleaning your home or premises.
Every property assessed individually
Exterior cleaning isn’t one method applied to everything. Different surfaces need different approaches, and using the wrong one can do real damage.
Rather than rushing from job to job, every property is assessed on its own terms to work out the right cleaning method for the particular surface. A delicate render or painted wall needs a soft washing approach. A robust concrete driveway can take pressure washing. Roof tiles need careful handling and, in many cases, a biocide treatment rather than aggressive cleaning.
Getting that judgement right is the difference between a surface that looks great for years and one that has been quietly damaged in the process.
Honest advice, even when it costs us a job
Honesty and reliability sit at the centre of how the business operates. Customers are given genuine advice on whether a service is actually needed and which approach is most appropriate.
If something doesn’t need cleaning, we’ll say so. If a particular method isn’t suitable for your surface, we’ll tell you that too, even where a different approach means a smaller job. Being upfront from the beginning is far more valuable than a quick sale.
